Hola
everyone from sunny, warm San Felipe where the temps
have been in the mid to high 70's for most of the
week and the bay is sparkling and placid.
Lots of visitors....although the holiday exodus
has already started....
We were delighted to have a visit this week from
Graham Mackintosh, whose latest book NEARER MY DOG
TO THEE is just out.....he is always a big hit,
and many people snagged signed copies of the book
to give as holiday gifts....
As ever, it
is very funny and chock full of well researched
information about a cornucopia of subjects.....This
time his companions of choice were two dogs with
every bit as much personality as "Mision"
(the burro who accompanied him on his last trip
through Baja).
The town is starting to normalize a little bit.....they
are doing a MASSIVE job on the main water system
here in town....and the parking and traffic situation
have been a mess for several weeks now....but this
week they finally started recovering much of the
area.....and hopefully this will be a permanent
end to the perpetual flooding and "black water"
problem at the North end of the malecon. (this will
be particularly appreciated by the owners of "Kiko's
Marisco's, which has been putting up with the problem
for years).....
That's all for this week....hasta la vista y vaya
con Dios from the bookstore by the bay......
